Change log
What we re-read, and when
This is a revision log, not a news feed. We do not report on the industry and we do not manufacture posts to look active. Entries appear when something on the site actually changes, and each one says what and why.
Facts quoted from OrientDig carry the date we read them. When we recheck them, the recheck gets an entry here.
The pages this log covers are what OrientDig is, the finds guide, finds by category, judging a find, ordering, mistakes to avoid and help and FAQ.
Who writes it and how it is funded is on the about page.
What changed
Newest first.
| Date | Change |
|---|---|
| First published The guide went live with ten pages: what OrientDig is, what a finds page is, finds by category, the four checks and the scorer, ordering, mistakes, help and FAQ, this log and the about page. Every fact quoted from orientdig.com was read on 4 August 2026 and the source is named on the page that uses it. | |
| Official material checked and dated Screenshots of the OrientDig home page, the shipping estimator and the help centre index were taken on 4 August 2026. The agent shows a floating video overlay on load which dims the page; we removed it before capturing so the interface is legible, and changed nothing else. | |
| What we deliberately do not publish No freight rates, no delivery time promises, no storage day counts and no coupon amounts. Those are set by OrientDig and by third party couriers, they change, and a guide that hard codes them is wrong within weeks. Where the agent states a figure we quote it and date it. |
How we keep it from going stale
Three things have a review date attached: anything quoted from the agent, every outbound link, and the category list. Quoted facts are rechecked against the official site, links are tested for a live response, and the category list is compared against what the finds site actually publishes.
If you find something here that is out of date, tell us and it gets fixed before anything else on the queue.
